On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my honor to address you as the newly elected President of the Saudi Otorhinolaryngology Society (SORL).
Since its establishment, SORL has served as the national scientific home for otolaryngology–head and neck surgery in the Kingdom, bringing together specialists, residents, and researchers dedicated to advancing patient care, medical education, and scientific research in our field.
As we begin this new term, the Board and I are committed to strengthening the Society's core mission — supporting our members professionally and academically, expanding subspecialty and regional representation, and deepening collaboration with national and international partners.
Over the coming period, our priorities include [e.g., expanding CME courses and training programs, strengthening subspecialty and regional committees, formalizing partnerships with sister societies and international bodies, improving member services and communication]. We are also committed to ensuring that our governance, activities, and scientific output remain transparent and accessible to our members and to the broader medical community.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Prof. Abdulrahman Hagr, who now honors the Society as Honorary President, and to the outgoing Board, for their dedication and for the strong foundation they have built. I look forward to working alongside our new Board members, committees, and all SORL members to carry this legacy forward.
We welcome your engagement, feedback, and participation as we work together to advance otolaryngology–head and neck surgery practice, education, and research in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Amani Obeid
President, Saudi Otorhinolaryngology Society (SORL)
